Nauticam ships NA-R5 housing for EOS R5
Nauticam is shipping its housing for the Canon EOS R5 camera. Using their N120 port system, the housing offers compatibility with both RF and EF lenses with the EF to Rf mount adapter. It has an additional control to give access to the EF to EOS R Mount Adapter with Control Ring. Strobe triggering is via optional manual or TTL optical converters.
Canon announces EOS C70 Cinema Camera
Canon has announced the EOS C70 Digital Cinema Camera. It features an RF lens mount and still camera-like ergonomics. Capable of internally recoding 4K/60p to its twin SD cards, the C70’s Super 35mm DGO sensor is combined with the DIGIC DV7 processor to offer up to 16 plus stops of dynamic range.

Call for Entries: Ocean Art 2020
The 2020 Ocean Art Competition, organized by the retailer, Blue Water Photo, is now accepting entries. It is offering 12 categories: Wide-Angle, Macro, Marine Life Behavior, Portrait, Cold Water, Nudibranchs, Blackwater, Underwater Conservation, Compact Wide-Angle, Compact Macro, Compact Behavior, and Underwater Art. The deadline for entries is 30 November.
Florida Bans Sales of Shark Fins
The Governor of Florida has signed into law Bill SB 860 aka the Kristin Jacobs Ocean Conservation Act, which makes it illegal to import, export and sell most shark fins in Florida from October 1. There is a loophole however that allows existing holders of shark fishing permits and seafood dealers that h0ld a “valid federal Atlantic shark dealer permit” to continue to engage in the import and export of fin through into January 2025.
