Issue 124 of Underwater Photography Magazine Available
The Jan/Feb issue of Underwater Photography magazine is now available to download. Issue 124 includes reviews of the Kraken Hydra 8000WRGBU and ONEUW ONE160X, the results of the DPG/Wetpixel Masters and the Anilao Shootout, and an interview with David Fleetham. Locations include Florida and Shetland, while Dr. Richard Smith discusses underwater photography and marine biology.

Wetpixel Live: Introducing RED V-RAPTOR
Adam chats to filmmaker Jon Betz about the new 8K RED V-Raptor Digital Cinema Camera on Wetpixel Live. Jon has been shooting the camera, housed in the new Nauticam Raptor housing in his home waters around Maine. He notes that not only does the camera have a significant bump in resolution, but is also capable of producing clean high-resolution imagery, even at high ISOs.
Go Ask Erin Water Replacement Starter Pack is Available
The team at Go Ask Erin has released their Water Replacement Starter Pack. This contains over 50 underwater background images and a 45-minute tutorial that shows how to use Photoshop’s Sky Replacement Feature to change underwater negative spaces.
Vladimir Mladenovic Introduces Marelux
Underwater photographer Vladimir Mladenovic introduces the Marelux brand to the Wetpixel community. He is a brand ambassador and shareholder in the company. Marelux is producing a series of aluminum housings and accessories for mirrorless cameras, including Canon EOS R5/R6, Nikon Z6II/7II, Sony Alpha 7mk3/mk4, Sony Alpha 1 along with Sony FX3 and Arri ALEXA Mini LF video cameras.
Wetpixel Live: Alex Mustard 20:20 Photo Collection Part 2
Wetpixel Editor, Adam Hanlon is hosting a monthly feature on the ADEX Pixel platform, entitled “Conversations with the Masters of Underwater Imaging.” These are presented live on the 8th of each month and are available to then view via the platform’s YouTube channel to. Ikelite Ships Housing for Canon EOS M50
Ikelite is shipping their polycarbonate housing for the Canon EOS M50. It uses the DLM port systems and offers the option of installing manual or TTL strobe triggering. It also includes a 1/2” 20 port for adding accessories or a vacuum bulkhead.
