Nikon Releases N-Log 3D LUT for D780
Nikon has released a lookup table (LUT) for use when color grading movie footage shot with N-Log gamma with the D780 camera. It can be downloaded for macOS and Windows and includes LUT files for Nikon’s mirrorless full-frame Z6 and Z7. According to Nikon, the files work in Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Apple Final Cut Pro X and Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 16, but other editing software should also be compatible.
Live Reports: Red Sea Diving Festival
The Red Sea Diving Festival, in the resort of Eilat, is being held from 11 to 14 March. The event focuses on underwater imaging and has an underwater image gallery along with a photographic shootout. Final Call: DEEP Indonesia 2020
The deadline for entries to the 2020 DEEP Indonesia International photo contest is today (Saturday 07 March) at midnight PST. Please make your final edits and get those entries in as soon as possible. Categories for the contest are; Divers, Animal Portraits, Animal Behaviour, Reefscapes, and Compact Cameras. We have an amazing judging panel consisting of Andrew Marriot, Ellen Cuylaerts, Kat Jonker, Mike Bartick Renee Capozzola and Tobias Friedrich.
Call for Entries: DEEP Indonesia International Photo Contest
The deadline for the 2020 DEEP Indonesia International Underwater Photo Competition is fast approaching. Entries need to be submitted by midnight this Saturday, 7 March. DEEP offers categories for Compact Cameras, Divers, Animal Portraits, Animal Behavior, and Reefscapes. Entries can be edited (although this is a photography contest rather than a Photoshop one).
Isotta ships housing for Sony a7r IV
Isotta is shipping their housing for the Sony a7r Mark IV. Constructed of the signature red anodized aluminum, it has Isotta’s one-handed closure system and uses its standard port system. The housing has two M16 and one M24 port along with two fiber-optic connections.
Issue 113 OF UwP magazine is available
The March/April edition on Underwater Photography magazine is available for download. Articles in it include reviews of the Nikon Z6 and Ikelite housing, Laowa Venus 24mm and Olympus TG6 and Ikelite housings. Pete Atkinson describes his housing history and destination reviews include the Maldives Paradise, Hidden Halmahera, and My Backyard: Blue Heron Bridge. Easydive announces Leo3 Magic housing
Easydive has announced their new Leo3 Magic housing for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 6K camera. Rated to 150m, the housing is lighter than the Leo3 and have a double battery pack. Camera control is via Bluetooth, the housing can provide 2 HDMI/SDI feeds out if it is combined with an optional converter, and an external drive can also be added in the housing if required.
