Seacam ships housing for Nikon Z6 and Z7
Seacam is shipping their Silver housing for the Nikon Z6 and Z7 mirrorless cameras. Designed for use either with or without the Nikon FTZ adaptor, it also utilizes Seacam’s existing standard port system, so offers lens support for most Nikon F and Z mount lenses. The housing provides access to all camera controls.
Canon announces new G Series compact cameras
Canon has announced two new Powershot G series compact cameras. Both feature 20.1 MP 25mm (1 in) sensors, DIGIC 8 image processors and a native ISO range up to 12,800. The G7 X III features blogging friendly features, while the G5 X Mark II is designed for travel photographers.
July issue of X-Ray magazine available
X-Ray Magazine’s July issue is now available to download. It features articles on South Africa’s Sodwana Bay, Southwest Halmahera, Japan’s Honshu, Lake Zurich, and cave diving is Albania. It also features a portfolio of Gerry Miles’ paintings and discusses Rembrandt lighting techniques.
Preview: ONEUW 160X strobes by Don Silcock

Seatool announces deep housings for GoPro cameras
Recsea and Seatool are offering a range of housings for the GoPro HERO7, HERO 6, HERO5 and HERO action cameras. They are available with depth ratings from 300m (984ft) to 3000m (9842ft) and with or without additional power options.
Inon releases version II of 45° viewfinder
Inon has released a version of their 45° viewfinder for their X2 housings that have the option of fitting a +1.5 diopter to correct issues with long sightedness.
Inon ships Grip Base Ball adaptor
Inon is shipping their Grip Base Ball Adaptor that can be attached to their Grip Use to provide a mounting point for strobe for other accessories, without (or in addition to) adding a handle. Two adaptors can be added to the tray if required.
Canada bans shark fin trade
The BBC reports that Canada is the first G20 country to ban the trade in shark fin. Until the ban, the country was the largest importer of fins outside of Asia, but the new bill “bans the import and export, to and from Canada, of shark fins that are not attached to the shark.”
